Altmobile is a subscription based mobile service that affords you the opportunity to own brand new smartphones or trade in your device with the option to upgrade annually.  

With altmobile owning a new device has never been easier as we afford you the chance to pay in installments for up to 24 months if you choose not to upgrade

  • Can I upgrade my iphone 11/12/13/14?Yes, you can trade in your current iPhone and upgrade to a newer model. This is also applicable to iPhone 15. So, a customer can trade in an iPhone 11 for an iPhone 15. Below are the requirements for phone upgrade;
    • An email should be sent to cutomercare@altmobile.ng with the following details;
    • A picture of the phone- (Front, Side and Backview)
    • Brand of Phone and Model
    • Screenshot of battery health 
    • Year of purchase 
    • Confirm if the device has undergone any previous repairs. Specific repair should be stated 
    • Confirm if the device is a locked device.
      N:B valuation of the phone is dependent on the state of the phone. 


  • What are the requirements to start a subscription on altmobile?

    6 months bank statement for Salary earners and 1 year bank statement for Business owners


  • Can I purchase outrightly on altmobile?

    No, Altmobile is strictly based on Monthly subscription.


  • What is the duration of the subscription?

    The subscription plan is 24 months. Customers can upgrade their device every 12 months.


  • Can I increase my monthly subscription payment?

    No, monthly subscription is fixed for the duration of your contract 


  • Can I close my contract before the end of the tenor?

    Yes, you can. You will be required to pay the balance before the contract is closed. Please send an email to

     customercare@altmobile.ng

     


  • Can I upgrade my device before 12 months?

    In instances where the contract commences less than 12 months before the release of a newer model, the customer will be required to pay the monthly difference to make up a full year tenor, after which their device can be traded in for an upgrade.


  • How long does it take to receive an order? 

     2-3 working days, subject to the customer meeting the eligibility criteria


  • How much is the maximum cost of an item I can apply for on altmobile?

    There is no minimum of maximum. This is subject to the customers eligibility/ credit history.


  • Can I apply for a facility on altmobile while running loans with other financial institutions?

     Yes, customers can apply as long as the loan is a performing loan and it doesn’t exceed the DSCR threshold of 33.3%


  • Will I get debited for the item before receiving it?

     No


  • Is upfront payment allowed?

     No, Payment will only be accepted once the contract has been executed and the customer has received the device


  • Do I need my salary account domiciled with Sterling Bank/ The Alternative Bank?

    No, the salary account doesn’t have to be domiciled with the alternative bank. The customer is however required to open a current account with the alternative bank as that is the account the repayment will be debited from monthly for the duration of the contract.


  • Can payment be spread within 12 months and above 24 months?

 Payment cannot be spread over 24 months. Kindly refer to the attached response in scenarios where the customer wishes to close the contract earlier than the tenor.


  • What date of the month is debit for repayment passed on the account?

     Last working day of the month


  • How long does delivery take?

    We work with a 3rd party agency. Delivery should take 24-48 hours, depending on the location of the customer.
